This policy applies to everyone who uses Crowned, and in particular to creators and everything they list and publish. It forms part of the Terms of Service and the Creator Terms.
1. What Crowned is for
Crowned is for creators whose supporters send them money: for a shout-out, a personal request, a thank-you, a monthly show of support, or whatever else the creator describes. Every item must be a genuine description of what the support is for. Listings that exist only to move money, or that describe something the creator does not intend to do, are not permitted.
2. What is not allowed
Everything offered or published on Crowned must comply with applicable law and with the restricted business terms of our payment provider, Stripe. In addition, the following are not permitted anywhere on Crowned, in items, images, profiles, or descriptions:
- adult content or sexual services of any kind, including sexually explicit or pornographic material and nudity;
- anything involving minors in an inappropriate or unlawful way, without exception;
- illegal products or services, including drugs, weapons, and counterfeit goods;
- gambling, lotteries, or games of chance;
- fraud or deception of any kind, including misleading item descriptions, impersonation, and items the creator does not intend to fulfil;
- content that infringes the intellectual property or other rights of others;
- harassment, hate, threats, or content that incites harm;
- publishing personal data of others without authorisation;
- malware, spam, phishing, or attempts to interfere with the platform or its users;
- using Crowned for money transmission, self-payments, card testing, money laundering, or any purpose other than genuine payments to creators;
- anything else prohibited by the restricted business terms of our payment provider or by applicable law.
3. People in your content
Only include a person in your images or content if that person has given informed consent to appear and to publication, and you can stand behind that if asked. Do not publish content featuring minors.
4. Moderation and enforcement
Content may be reviewed before publication and at any time afterwards, using human review and technology, in accordance with applicable law. Where this policy or applicable law is breached, we may, proportionately to the severity and in accordance with applicable law:
- remove or unpublish content or listings;
- restrict features or visibility;
- suspend or terminate accounts;
- pause payments or withhold amounts otherwise payable, where permitted;
- report matters to authorities and cooperate with law enforcement where required.
Except where prohibited by law, we notify the affected user when we take action, provide a statement of reasons where required by applicable law, and offer a means of appeal.
5. Reporting content
Anyone can report content they believe is illegal or violates this policy by contacting support@crowned.net with a link to the content and a short explanation. We review reports and act on notices of illegal content in accordance with applicable law. Where required, we inform the person who reported and the person whose content is affected of the outcome.
6. Appeals
If we remove your content or restrict your account and you believe we got it wrong, you can appeal by replying to the notification you received or by contacting support@crowned.net within a reasonable time. Appeals are reviewed by a person. Users in the EU and EEA also have the rights provided by applicable law regarding moderation decisions, including out-of-court dispute settlement and judicial remedies.
7. Changes
We may update this policy from time to time, including to reflect changes in law or in our payment provider's requirements. The current version is always available on Crowned.
